A region of 22-24 million people, with one of the world's highest rates of hypertension and stroke, an extraordinarily high RTA mortality burden, rising cancer incidence driven by environmental and lifestyle factors, a large and growing aging population with complex chronic disease management needs, and a diaspora population of millions scattered across the world's wealthiest countries who are desperate to find quality healthcare in their homeland — this region possesses both the demand imperative and the demographic foundation for a Medical City of global stature.
